Hand Printed Waistcoat
Made in super soft 100% wool fabric, woven in west Wales. Edges hand bound in Romanian hemp.A short cut waistcoat with curved edges and turn-back lapels. Hand dyed and printed in house with natural dyes and hand cut stencils. Each piece will vary slightly as the stencils only survive for a couple of prints.
The well-fulled wool is wonderfully soft and warm, and sturdy enough to be left unlined, with discrete flat seams. The design is close fitting, and ties simply at the front, using the same Romanian hemp as the bound edges, which are carefully and invisibly hand stitched.
Care
To meet organic standards, wool is shorn from sheep, washed, carded and spun, and dyed if required, with natural dyes. It has no other chemical treatments for anti-pilling, anti-shrink, moth proofing, removal of vegetation etc etc. All this means is a little extra care is needed when washing.
Washing
Gentle hand wash only, short spin, dry flat, out of direct sunlight (NO tumble drying!).
