Silk Shirt
Handmade from the softest, sustainable and fairly traded pure silk. This is a one off garment, available in one size only.
This beautiful fabric simply flows over the skin and as it catches the light, reveals a delicate herringbone weave. I can’t help but compare the touch of this fabric to sneakily dipping ones finger into the tub of double cream…
The unfussy design is not too fitted yet remains feminine. The slight pleat details at the shoulder and cuff give a little extra width to the sleeve. The neckline is slightly lowered for a more casual fit, with rounded corners to the collar stand, which are echoed at the cuff. Constructed with properly turned seams throughout, with a classically shaped, hand stitched hem.
An easy fit as a size 12 (as shown here) but will just as well make a closer fitting size 14 or 'oversized' size 10.
Washing
Wash by hand or in the machine on a cold cycle, with minimal, delicate detergent. Spin to remove the excess water and hang up to dry (in the breeze if you can)
Iron on a medium heat with a little steam if necessary, shaking the garment out as you go to regain the softness and shine.
